Hi, I’m Jennifer Lamprey.
Growing up in woodsy, beachy New England with a blue-collar dad plagued by childhood scoliosis and frequent back and muscle injuries and aches, I felt called to a career in healing and helping relieve pain. I was so fortunate that when I made my way west to beautiful Boulder, Colorado to pour myself into massage training, it instantly felt like home. After graduating from The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 1998, I steadily built a business delivering healing touch as a CMT while simultaneously making some of the greatest friends on earth and eventually meeting my sweetheart — and now husband — Ben. But after establishing a base of insanely wonderful and loyal massage clients over 18 years, my sweetheart was craving a change and convinced me to head south to sunny Santa Fe.
I won’t lie. I wasn’t crazy about the idea of moving. I felt torn about leaving my friends and incredible massage clients, but over the past 2+ years I’ve been thrilled to have worked out a schedule where I return to Colorado every month or so to work on my devoted clients there, while getting to deliver healing touch to more and more wonderful people here in Santa Fe (and making some new forever friends along the way). I’ve also begun pursuing another passion, Desert Fig Designs, which enables me to pour my positive energy into designing and handcrafting thoughtful jewelry pieces that I display at my booth on Sundays at the Artisan Market at the Santa Fe Railyard. (If you’re in the area, stop by, because I’d love to meet you!)
And though I love my work with all my heart, I’m not all work and no play. I’ve become more and more enchanted with New Mexico’s landscape and Santa Fe while partaking in some of my favorite activities, like perusing the many local galleries and restaurants with my hubby; morning walks and sunset hikes with my Westie-Poo, Olive; getting my groove on with the fine folks at Studio Nia; and volunteering with friends at The Food Depot whenever I can. Life is sweet, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be here and able to help you heal and feel better.
“Jennifer is gentle and strong, and her massages – whether for relaxation or rehabilitation – leave one with an increased sense of wellness and peace. Her knowledge of anatomy and technical training, and intuition and concern for the individual, ensure that her treatments are personally satisfying and truly therapeutic. I can confidently recommend her as one of the best massage therapists I have encountered,
and a woman of great character.” – Lisa L.
